Co-founder
Magnus Grimmett is a Colorado-based developer and technology entrepreneur with a background in institutional finance and a track record of design-led projects across the state.
As co-founder of Mustang Commercial, he leads capital structure, underwriting, and lender relationships across an active portfolio financed through a mix of private equity, senior construction debt, and mezzanine capital from institutional lenders and hedge funds.
Earlier in his career he served as Chief Technology Officer and board member of a London hedge fund, personally authorised by the UK Financial Services Authority, where he helped scale assets under management past $1 billion. Modeling risk, defending assumptions to allocators, and reporting on somebody else's capital is the discipline he brought to development.
In 2013 he founded Ajax Automation, a smart home and IT integration firm that has delivered infrastructure to estates collectively valued at over $1 billion, including Aspen's most expensive recorded residential sale, with projects across the US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Running a construction-adjacent trade business taught him the cost side of a project from the field up — and it lets Mustang embed intelligent systems and secure networks into design rather than bolt them on afterward.
