Jeff Barbles brings more than 38 years of real estate experience spanning brokerage, development, construction, and property management, and has completed over $1 billion in transactions.
He has worked with Grubb & Ellis, Marcus & Millichap, NAI Partners, and Moody Rambin, and has led more than 36 development projects across retail, industrial parks, medical office, 55-plus communities, multifamily, and single-tenant net lease. Before devoting his time fully to Mustang Commercial, he leased and managed over 2.6 million square feet of commercial space across several states.
Jeff's background is unusually broad for a developer: he has been a commercial appraiser, owned and operated a construction company, and built web-based property management software. He has also owned and operated hospitality businesses in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica — a resort, a canopy tour, and several restaurants.
He began in real estate while at the University of Texas at Austin, using brokerage work to fund his education. As co-founder and managing principal of Mustang Commercial he selects the sites, runs development from concept to completion, and leads leasing.
